Rank Math SEO

RowSprout works with Rank Math out of the box, in the free plugin. You fill in Rank Math’s fields once, on the template, and every generated page gets a copy with the placeholder tokens filled in for its own row.

SEO fields with tokens

Open the template’s Rank Math panel and use tokens in its fields, just like in the page’s content. Copy the tokens from the template’s Properties tab.

This works for every Rank Math field stored with the template: the SEO title and description, the focus keyword, the canonical URL, the breadcrumb title, the Facebook and X (Twitter) titles, descriptions and images, and the Schema you add in Rank Math’s schema generator, such as LocalBusiness, Service or JobPosting.

Tip

Schema with tokens gives every page structured data of its own: a LocalBusiness schema with @code_town_210@ as the address locality and @code_phone_210@ as the telephone number, or a JobPosting with the job title, location and closing date of each vacancy.

What else RowSprout takes care of

• Templates are never indexed. A template is a design, not a page for visitors, so RowSprout tells search engines not to index or follow it.
• Removed schema is removed from the pages too. Remove a schema type from the template and generate, and it disappears from every page, not only from new ones.
• Rank Math’s own bookkeeping is not copied, such as its internal-link and analytics data: each page gets its own.

The sitemap

Under Rank Math → Sitemap Settings, include RowSprout Pages in the sitemap, so search engines find every generated page. RowSprout keeps templates out of the sitemap, whatever that screen says for RowSprout Templates.

When you change an SEO field

A change to a Rank Math field of the template affects every page, so it is applied when you next save with Create & update pages. With RowSprout Pro’s Smart Generate, such a change regenerates every page of the template, also when you changed nothing else.

With WPML

Rank Math’s fields are translated with the template. Keep the tokens exactly as they are in the translation, including the ID; see Placeholder tokens in a translation.
