Example: courses and events
A training company runs a two-day first aid course in six cities, several times a year. Each date in each city needs a page with the venue, the start time, the price and a registration button, so people find first aid course Milan and can sign up for a specific date. The same setup suits workshops, events, guided tours and webinars.
/first-aid-milan-2026-11/,/first-aid-turin-2026-12/, … — one page per course date/first-aid-course/— a normal page about the course, with a list of upcoming dates
Only what differs per date
Section titled “Only what differs per date”The course programme, the learning goals and the certificate are the same for every date. They go in the template’s design, not in properties. Only what changes from one date to the next becomes a property:

A second course, such as Fire safety refresher, gets a template of its own: its programme and design differ, and its dates live in their own table.
Title and address
Section titled “Title and address”- Template title:
@code_title_650@ - Href:
/first-aid-@code_href_650@
Put the city and the month in the URL value (milan-2026-11), so the next Milan course gets an address of its own. RowSprout warns you when two rows would get the same address.

The course page and its list of dates
Section titled “The course page and its list of dates”The normal page First aid course describes the course and lists the dates with a Grid of this template. The Grid sorts by title (Alphabetical (A-Z) or (Z-A)) or not at all; with No sorting, the pages are generally listed in the order you added the rows. Add new dates in date order and choose No sorting, and the list stays chronological.
A list of every course on one page is a Grid per course template, each under its own heading.
Publish dates weeks in advance
Section titled “Publish dates weeks in advance”The company plans its courses a year ahead, but wants each date online eight weeks before it starts, not all at once. With RowSprout Pro:
-
Add all dates of the year as rows.
-
Set the Save action to Schedule page updates and save. Nothing is generated.
-
On the Planning tab, give each row its go-live moment, such as 17 September 2026, 08:00 for the course of 12 November. For many rows at once, Auto-fill… fills in dates for a selection of rows at the pace you choose; review them, then click Save planning.
Each page is generated, and appears in the Grid, shortly after its moment. Under RowSprout → Throttling you can also limit generation to a time window, such as nights, so the pages appear outside busy hours.
After the course
Section titled “After the course”- Update the availability as people sign up: change the Availability value and save with Create & update pages. With RowSprout Pro’s Smart Generate, only that date’s page is regenerated.
- Remove past dates: delete the row and save. The page is removed and leaves the Grid. If the page has built up visitors or links, keep it a little longer with the availability set to This course has taken place — see the next dates below.
