Tips
Reload the editor after adding rows or properties
Section titled “Reload the editor after adding rows or properties”The widget dropdowns and the Preview group list are filled when the editor opens. After you add a row or property on the RowSprout template tab, click Save in that window, then save your design and reload the editor to see it in the lists.
Style the template, not the pages
Section titled “Style the template, not the pages”Generated pages are copies of the template, and the next update overwrites them. Make every design change in the template. Each page gets its own Elementor CSS, built from the template’s design.
Generated pages are locked against editing by hand. If you do want to edit one directly, unlock them under RowSprout → Settings, but remember that the next update of the template overwrites your change.
Use widgets for multi-line values
Section titled “Use widgets for multi-line values”Placeholder tokens put the value in as one line. For a Textarea or Item list property, use the Textarea or Item List widget, which keep the lines apart.
Give every widget a fallback
Section titled “Give every widget a fallback”Most RowSprout widgets have a Fallback text, shown when a row leaves the property empty. Use something that reads well on every page, or leave it empty to show nothing.
Pick a preview row with long values
Section titled “Pick a preview row with long values”Choose a row with long values as the Preview group, such as the town with the longest name, to see how your layout copes before you generate the pages.
Without a Pro licence
Section titled “Without a Pro licence”Without an active RowSprout Pro licence, the Pro widgets and dynamic tags are no longer offered in the editor, but the ones already in your templates and pages keep working.
