Page Link dynamic tag

The RowSprout Page Link tag fills a link setting with the address of another template’s page for the same row. It is made for child templates.

Say the parent template Plumber has a row per town, and the child template Roof repair reuses those rows. A Need roof repair? button on Plumber in Amsterdam can link to Roof repair in Amsterdam, and the same button on the Utrecht page to the Utrecht page.

  1. Select a widget with a link setting, such as a Button, and find its Link.

  2. Click the Dynamic Tags icon next to it, and choose RowSprout Page Link from the RowSprout group.

  3. Click the tag to open its settings, and choose the Template to link to.

  • It works in both directions: on the parent template’s pages, and on a child template’s pages, linking to a sibling for the same row (Roof repair in Amsterdam → Boiler service in Amsterdam).
  • It looks up the real page, so it keeps working when that template’s address pattern changes. A link you build by hand from tokens, such as /roof-repair-@code_href_123@/, breaks silently when the pattern changes.
  • When that template has no page for the row yet, the link is empty.
  • For a whole set of such links, use the Sibling Links widget.
